The Prime Minister said he was ashamed at what had transpired in the Dewan Rakyat on Wednesday and agreed that live telecast of the proceedings should be scrapped.
Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi said that he was in the dewan at the time, adding what happend was just "too much".
"I felt ashamed if people watched televesion and saw what was happening in our Dewan. In my heart, i also felt that all this happened because there was a live broadcast at that time.
"Each (MP) wanted to make himself or herself seen debating or "aksi" (acting) in the Dewan. That was how i felt," he told reporters yesterday after a brief visit here to attend the 4th world Islamic Economic Forum closing session.
To a question, he said that if Information Minister Datuk Shabery Cheek decided to cancel the live telecast, he would agree. THIS IS WHAT I CALLED BULLSHIT !!!
4 years Barisan Nasional was in power,they din't bother looking at the (MP) shouting in the dewan rakyat, when sammy vellu and the kinabatang MP shouting left and right.
No one bothered about it,50 years our country is without any live broadcast and all of sudden make it live and then now don't want to make it live,what the heck mann !!! come on GROW UP PAK LAH and make a wise decision.Let us (the rakyat) see how own own elected (MP) talks in the DEWAN RAKYAT. if you wanna become clean,try cleaning this up 1st. Sekian,MAJULAH UNTUK NEGARA !!!
