Dr M: PM stopped Najib from seeing me.

Dr.Mahathir Mohamad made a startling claim that today that his "successor" Abdulah Ahmad Badawi recently thwarted a meeting between the ex-premier and deputy premier Najib Abdul Razak.

"This is no longer a democratic Umno. I would like to say here - i don't know how im going to hurt people - i wanted to see Najib. He said he would come and see me, "he said after a press conference in Putrajaya.

"He said he would first have to get the permission of the prime minister. Apparently he did not get permission. So until now, he has not seen me.

"It would be terrible to think that the prime minister does not trust his deputy. In my time, i trusted my deputy until he did something funny. Otherwise, i trust my deputy, "said the former premier of Malaysia for 22 years.

Mahathir said that he had tried to set up the meeting with Najib "immediately after the general election" to discuss the changing political situation.

"Im concerned about what is happening in Umno. I have to say this because I kept this to myself because i thought it was not right to reveal it to the public.

"But things are getting very serious now. People are not allowed to talk. I understand when Tengku Razaleigh (Hamzah) goes around to meet people at the branch level, Umno members were told not to attend.

"What kind of party is this? You are only allowed to hear from one source. I think this is the cause of the losses of the last election. People were not allowed to speak and the leadership does not know what the people are thinking,"he said.

1st of all Dr.M ,during yourr time how many deputy u trusted and sacked them off ?? If Pak lah doesn't control his Deputy now, don't u think he have to sack his deputy for doing something funny ?? u ruled the country for 22 years and now u're telling us the whole nation that this is not a democratic Umno.

You ruled the country for 22 years and all u did to umno was to changed them to contract seekers not into a powerfull political party. What's you're telling to the public is hitting you right in your face. I watched the BBC Hardtalk on Dr.M , im still laughing at his answers and the way he was putting blame on others. Dr.M 2 Words for you, GROW UP !!!

Prime Minister Wants To Cancel Telecast In Dewan Rakyat.

The Prime Minister said he was ashamed at what had transpired in the Dewan Rakyat on Wednesday and agreed that live telecast of the proceedings should be scrapped.

Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi said that he was in the dewan at the time, adding what happend was just "too much".

"I felt ashamed if people watched televesion and saw what was happening in our Dewan. In my heart, i also felt that all this happened because there was a live broadcast at that time.

"Each (MP) wanted to make himself or herself seen debating or "aksi" (acting) in the Dewan. That was how i felt," he told reporters yesterday after a brief visit here to attend the 4th world Islamic Economic Forum closing session.

To a question, he said that if Information Minister Datuk Shabery Cheek decided to cancel the live telecast, he would agree. THIS IS WHAT I CALLED BULLSHIT !!!

4 years Barisan Nasional was in power, they din't bother looking at the (MP) shouting in the dewan rakyat, when sammy vellu and the kinabatang MP shouting left and right.

No one bothered about it,50 years our country is without any live broadcast and all of sudden make it live and then now don't want to make it live, what the heck mann !!! come on GROW UP PAK LAH and make a wise decision.Let us (the rakyat) see how own own elected (MP) talks in the DEWAN RAKYAT. if you wanna become clean, try cleaning this up 1st. Sekian,MAJULAH UNTUK NEGARA !!!

JEway

The Jelutong Expressway (JEway) is a Penang State Goverment privatisation project. The expressway will stretch across the eastern coastline of George Town for a distance of 4.8 km from Jalan Tengku Kudin to Pengkalan Weld.

The cost of JEway including relocation of squatters and land acquisition is about RM310 million. The project is being handed by IJM Corporation. When completed, it will act as a bypass for vehicles from the south of the island and Penang Bridge heading to the eastern part of George Town and the city centre.

The construction works will be carried out in 3 phases which are as follows:-

1) 3.2km - From Jln. Tengku Kudin to Jln Sungai Pinang April 2003(Completed)
2) 1.6km - From Jln. Sg. Pinang to Pengkalan Weld June 2006
3) Construction of interchanges and linkages and upgrading of
the expressway to provide dual 3-lane carriageway. June 2009

Jelutong Expressway will help relieve the traffic congestion presently experienced along local roads leading to the city centre especially on Jalan Jelutong, Jalan Sungai Pinang, Jalan Gurdwara, Lebuh McNair and Jalan C.Y.Choy. Furthermore, the expressway corridor will be expanded to a township of its own comprising of residential, commercial industrial areas.

Finally,Dr.M Has A Blog...

Finally Dr.M or his childhood friends called him "Che Det" as a nickname or his pen name.He launched his own blog few days ago, becoming the latest among many malaysian politicians who are crowding cyberspace to air their views, i think because he is getting tired travelling and answering questions just like the "BBC HARDTALK", www.chedet.com his blog add.

His daughter Marina Mahathir is also a blogger, maybe that's the main reason he got his idea into blogging, because i'm still wondering where was all the bloggers for 22 years and all of sudden they just keep coming out. what's behind "Operasi Lalang" during his time?

Dr.M 1st entry questioned is "the move to appoint an independent commission to appoint judges",which recently announced by Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi.

well,i would say welcome to the world of blogging Dr.M
